Skid plate

I have a 2011 sr5 I notice it has a front skid plate will the FJ Trd front skid be better than it ?

I don't think the FJ skid would fit but the one from the TRD Pro would. When you say better I am not sure what you mean. Stronger? Maybe, but I am fairly sure the TRD Pro skid is thin aluminum. (Edit its 1/4" as per below, thicker then I thought) If you want it mainly for the looks I think it would be worth it. If you are looking for something that will take a true beating and come out still looking useable I would look into thick aftermarket steel skids (weight more, cost more, etc.....really not needed unless you plan on rocky trails)

I'm going to have to disagree with the response that the TRD Pro skid is thin aluminum.

The TRD Pro skid plate is 1/4" aluminum which is plenty. In comparison the RCI aluminum front skid plate too is also 1/4" thick.

Fj trail teams skid is the same as the trd pro. I'd bet a dollar on it.

Same part number for the 2016 model, the box I got said FJ on it. Bolts right up to my non kdss sr5
