Skid Plate?

Hey all,
The 2006 Sport 4Runner I'm looking at has the skid plate under the front of the engine but then looks like its missing something under the oil pan. Granted, I was looking underneath of this truck while kneeling next to it so my head was all twisted upside down, but something just didn't look right. Is there a two piece skid plate for the front of these? My '95 Taco has a two piece design but I am not sure about the 4Runners. I am afraid it is missing because somebody got tired of the oil changes and trying to work around a skid plate.

While I'm bumming knowledge off of everybody, what is the difference between an SR5 and a Sport? Which one is the entry level model? This one is a sport, but it is the solid exterior color rather than the different colored fender flares.

The skid should have two pieces, well three if you count the plastic piece attached to the second one. The skid plate ends at about the cross-member and the plastic piece extends back to about 1/3 the length of the tranny pan.

SR5 would be the "base" and the Sport Edition would be next... different interior details, X-REAS suspension, sport hood. The gray fenders and trim on the Sports went away in '06 or maybe sooner.

Is it an oval opening where the oil drain plug is? There is a plastic cover that clips on the metal skid. Most end up losing the cover by the second or third oil change, since it's not very securely held in place.
