skid row if you want the strongest. bud built if you want more coverage. better yet make some.
stubs hdsko sliders fit 4runners well, but its all up to how much your gonna beat on the rig. you can get by with trail gear or cheaper sliders but you may dent them up faster. see what people are using on the trails you want to run and get an idea of what you will need from them.
I'm going with dome skid row skids when the time comes for my taco. For sliders im probably going with relentless fab...Eric makes some insanely awesome hybrid sliders. I'm not sure he has anything out for t4rs but he can do just about anything you ask. Check out relentlessfabrication.com
I spent some time with Doug and Roy Lewis owners of Savage Offroad this weekend and they are coming out with some really cool new stuff including some sweet skids!!! Roy recently moved to Yucaipa, my hometown.
These guys are just quality people and honest as the day is long. Gonna get some sliders soon but the new skid plate prototypes looked awesome.

can you elaborate on the Hybrid slider?
Yeah it basically has a square tube for strength running along the bottom and then an angled up round tube to protect the sill when you're on really off camber terrain.
I'm not quite sure how to post pics over here but if someone could help me I'd be happy to share some from his site
The Skid Row plate is badass but I also like the 2000 Tacoma skid - very hard to come by though...
I have the Skidrow front skid plate and love it. Heavy and very tough. The delivery carton said it was 43 lbs iirc.
I would recommend also having the transmission skid too, as the front one only cover up to the steering rack.
I was very impressed with Skidrows customer service. I ordered the skid on Monday morning and had it on my door step Tuesday afternoon.
I don't know how compatible the two brands are. If you haven't already, then I suggest studying photos of them and instal instructions from the websites. If you want more detailed info about the SR front, then I can help with more pics and measurements if you want.I just ordered the belly pan skid from budbuilt, but running the stock skid in the front.
Will I be able to use a Skid Row skid on the front if I wanted, basically are they compatible?
