Skyjacker shocks, don't push up at all!!!

I baught 4 new skyjacker shocks for my 92 4runner on ebay, the hyrdaulic 7000 ones. I got them and they look good and everything but my god, i ain't ever seen shocks that don't push up, they stay exactly where you leave them when you are pushing or pulling on them (not installed of course) is the normal, i ain't ever seen shocks like this, one other cars the all ways push back and even the old ones on my 4runner pushed back. What the heck is going on, i checked on their web site and its the right shocks for my trucks. I haven't fully installed them yet since i have to cut off the old bolts of the original shocks and now have to go get some other bolts to replace these tomorrow, i am a bit scared of what this is going to do when installed do you guys think this is normal?

That's the difference between a regular hydraulic shock and a gas pressurized shock. The shocks that come with most lift kits are the cheap ones because they figure most will probably upgrade them anyway.

If the ride sucks go buy yourself a set of bilstein's.
