Slider?

I have a 2019 Voodoo TRD Pro that I’m thinking of getting some sliders for. Question is do you folks with sliders find that it is harder to get in/out with the sliders? Is it easy to clear them or are you rubbing your legs on them getting in/out?

I have Shrockworks angled up sliders. They sit closer than most of the other sliders out there. I’m 6’3 and don’t need the step. They get in the way just barely. My wife and young son use them as a step effectively.

I have RSG angled ( look like the ones above, but black textured powder coat). I am 6'7"....i don't use them unless i am loading the roof rack, or washing the roof. My wife uses them to get in every time. I can get in and out without touching them.

I went with the half plate. I don't need the step and I don't find they get in the way at all, but shorter people (my mom, my son) find it useful when getting in.

I have shrokwork dimpled step sliders. I didn't need them at stock height, my gf did, but now with a 1.5 inch lift I prefer to use them instead of sliding on the seat.

I have the BudBuilt, bump-out sliders with the diamond tread plate. I never had sliders before, but needed something that my wife could use as a step. When they were first installed it took me a little time to get used to them but not very long. I really love them now. They're really handy as a step when securing gear to the roof rack or cleaning the roof, etc. And as sliders, they're great protection from boulders or other obstacles.

when i got sliders, i stopped wearing khaki colored pants anymore.......

but in all seriousness, you learn to hop out so you don't scuff up your pants if the sliders are muddy or dirty, etc.

In day to day use, sliders aren't bad at all. I don't notice them anymore.

I have a set from Slee that are awesome. They look and work like a step for my wife and son and don’t scream “slider”.

On my 14 I had Shrockworks build me a pair that came straight out and had them extend them another inch or so so I can use them as a step. I’m 5’8” and my wife is barle over 5’ and with the lift, it was a challenge for her to get in. Added some rubberized pads and it worked excellent. I forgot it stuck out a couple times and definitely got the back of the pants a little dirty.

Added benefit was since it stuck out a little further than normal, it also worked great against people who were less than careful opening their car doors in parking lots.

i have sos sliders on my tacoma linex'ed, and that's makes them really easy to use as a slider. the linex has also still in perfect condition after 3 years

I have the RSG Angled with bump out and use them to get in and out of the vehicle every time. Can't tell a difference between using them to get in and out and the OEM running boards.
