Sliders/Running Boards

I'm new to mods and just got my 2011 SR5 T4R. Love this forum! I am currently thinking of about 10 mods thanx to finding you guys! I have been thinking about Slider/Boards. My kids are young and wife short. What do you guys think of the supersliders ....4runner rock sliders, Rockrails. I like the door protection angle. Most wheeling I'll be doing is beach. Any other ideas? :surfer:

A lot of the guys here run these and I think they stick out a bit more than the rocky road ones so they'd function much better as a step.

I am not sure I understand what the purpose of these sliders is..do they serve the same function as nerf bars/ running boards? Or are they for protection of some part of the truck? Someone please explain.

It can do both.

It protects the lower body/step sills when off-roading and allows you to "slide" over a rock or obstacle. It also offers another jacking point. Sliders attach to the frame rails.
