Slight knocking sound when truck is cold

Not sure if this is normal and it doesn't sound like anything bad, at least I hope. But when I fire up the truck there is a faint knocking sound but goes away after the truck warms up. I have 2008 V8 and was curious if anyone else has this same thing or not. It last about a minute or so and then goes away. My truck just turned over the 70,000 mark and other then the slightly warped brakes and the infamous drive shaft clunk, it runs perfect....

is it more of a ticking than a knocking sound?

I have the same thing, mine is a knocking sound and does it when I am moving at very slow speeds just when I first start it up and when it is cold. goes away after 2mins

Thats good to know, and exactly as you say. Slow speeds when its cold. I guess I am only now noticing this because I live in the Phoenix area and we just had a fewer cooler days in the 50's.
