Slight slop in steering-04 4runner

So I have experienced some slop in the steering on my truck. I can move the steering wheel around about and inch or two before it feels like the steering wheel "catches" to turn the tires. This happens when you move the steering wheel quickly from side to side. When going over the rough plowed roads around here from the snow storm I noticed a slight rattle coming from somewhere in the steering. Anyone else have this problem? Just an FYI- I have NO uneven tire wear that has been noticed by myself or tire tech's.

Yes and it is anoying as SHIT. There is a fix for it and i will try to find it for you
