Slot Cars

Anyone besides this boy here into Slot Cars? As a kid I had a Strombecker track and cars. I found this site and planning to get rollin pretty soon. Most of the 1/32 cars are made in Spain and use the same copper braid leads to connect the dynamo. This is going to be FUN.

Memories

Wow, I didn't know these were still being made. I had a Monogram (?)1/32 set when I was about ten years old (late sixties) and I think I still have it upstairs in the attic.

In those days boys (and fathers!) would take their cars - and maintenance kits - to local slot car raceways. I remember one a few miles from my house with a dozen or so tracks. At that time the 1/24 and HO scales were most popular.

As I aged (and slowed down) I got into train layouts - "N" scale.

That is fun for sure..........will set up and post a pic or two when I am setting the garage track on FIRE !!
