Hey all!

My names Tyler, not slug (curve ball, I know)

I've worked my way to the glorious 15 post limit to be able to respectfully create my own thread. I mainly just want to use this for myself to track the progress and remember the little things while building up my realistic dream vehicle to my desire.

Let's jump back a little bit;
My love for Toyota was first formulated by my 2007 FJ cruiser. I purchased it in 2010 while I was enlisted in the military. Bone stock, OEM everything, with minor upgrades (TRD exhaust, etc)

First upgrade was a light bar with some ProComp halogen lights. (Photo was taken the first time it's seen snow. Was driving from my hometown in California to my first duty station in Missouri.)

Some time later, light bars, DeMello Baja Loop Bumper (one of the first ones ever made. Shout out to Jason!!)

When I separated from the military upon my contract being up, my wife and I knew we didn't want to stay in Missouri. No offense to anyone in the Midwest but it just wasn't for us.

We knew we wanted to be back on the West where our family is located in California. But nothing else was waiting for us there, so we coin tossed the idea of Washington, Colorado, or Portland. We decided Washington and began our trek.

To down size I sold the FJ and just rode my motorcycle for a good amount of time.

I dabbled in stupid ass cars for awhile to entertain my idea of owning a drift car. Had a SR20 powered Nissan S13 & a 97 SR20 powered true Kouki S14. Sold 1 totaled the other. Lol

After my childish phase, I revamped back to Toyota, picked up this ol' girl.

Still own it. Trying to sell it currently. But the wife and I decided we need a more reliable vehicle for me and my commute. (I live in Federal Way, WA and work in Kent, WA) so we took the opportunity to own our ideal dream car!

So far, all
I've done is disabled DRL's. Lolol. I love just having my amber running lights on. Maybe I should have purchased a Tacoma.

Currently have some 1.25" spacers on the way.
As well as some LED headlights and signals.

Congrats on the new rig and thanks for your service! I have a 2015 Trail Edition and it has to be the most addicting vehicle I have ever owned. It has personality and style. I'm sure you're gonna enjoy the rig!

Thanks man. Yeah. I have lots of plans projected for it. Trying to figure out what to do first and convincing the wife is the only struggle. And saving the money. Haha

nice 4runner SLUG.....my favorite is the LC 80 though !

good move on the H11 LED headlights by XenonDepot .. I love mine!

are the 7443 bulbs the switchback types? I ordered mine yesterday should get them next week, switchback are the ones that have a dual function and color
white for running and parking lights and when you signal to turn they glow amber.

very nice scenery by the way !
Erick.

Thanks! I will undoubtedly miss the 80 upon selling it for sure but it's more funds to put towards the 4R!
And I just got amber. I did see the switch backs and my friend had them on his car and I loved them but when I say I love Amber, I LOVE Amber. Just like the way it looks as regular running lights. Maybe down the road I may switch it up but as of now I'm excited for em!

Well it's been awhile since I've posted but some things have changed. Lol
