Small "door" thingy on Shifter Plate

Just in front of the "P" designation on the silver plastic plate that surrounds the auto trans shifter is a small square (with a little tag) door/cap/etc. What is that thing?

Shift Lock Release thing. It's to be able to take it out of park without the car on if you need to move it.

AAron, thanks, how does it work? Or better said; How would I activate it?

You lift the cover, and underneath is a silver slot. You insert your key, or someother like sized item into slot. You should then be able to move shifter out of park to neutral to be able to push vehicle.
