Small interior lighting problem

Hey everyone, down next to the gear (changer? shifter? I dont know what it's called!) The shifter thing with the overdrive button on it, the little plastic pannel with the letters on it indicating what the car is in, isnt lighting up. It used to for awhile but now it just doesnt come on period, and I used to be able to hit it a little and it would come back on. Now it doesn't light up at all. How can I fix this??? Thanks!

you would actually have to take out that middle pannel where the shift knob is. its not that hard at all... i know theres a write up about it somewhere but theres a light under the knob and you could replace it if needed.

I had the same problem... take out the panel around it (it should just lift out but use care, the 4wd shift boot should separate from the panel as well) then there is a bulb that should twist out from under the shift assembly (or whatever you choose to call it) It's probably just a blown bulb in which case you can go to your local stealership and ask for the part and expect to pay probably around $5 or you can go on a mission to find it cheaper elsewhere... hope that helped a little bit.

does anyone know what type of bulb goes into the A/C controls? I want to switch to LED but the LED Tech wants to know how many mm the base of the bulb is. BTW they are $11.00 each from the stealership! It's smaller than a damn christmas light bulb LOL.

I went to Advanced Auto Parts and replaced my ac lights. I don't remember the voltage and all that, but they have them. You could call them and they'll tell you.

with the center piece off
