Kinda the same question but what would you do just to eliminate odor in general from my car.
It is not a bad smell but rather just a distinct smell. What can I do to get it to be more neutral??

i guess you could try fabreeze? what smell are you talking about? only offensive smell known to come from a t4r is the exhaust...which is fixable.

fixable.... RIIIIIIGHTTTTT... :(

poor little floor mats, what did they do to deserve this?

since you walk all day around walmarts, gas stations, work and parking lots where people spit, throw up, and toss trash ... unfortunatly your 4runners floor mats are the 1st ones to suffer from the nasty debree from your shoes...(the 2nd would be your own home carpet where your kids crawl around and put their hands all in it) . i would suggest just seeing if your floor mats are the culpret and just replace them all together. that is where i would start.
also clean and condition leather seats if you have them ... or scrub and clean your cloth seats. meguiares makes some good interior cleaning/conditioning products.

if its only when you when you have the air running then maybe check the filter.

good luck

stop smoking, farting and eating in your car!! and clean up that spot on the carpet you puke on last week and if should smell better :repuke:

As a serious suggestion, I would check your mats first. Leave all your windows down for a day. You can also take a couple of dryer sheets and stick them under the seats. They will help absorb some of the smell.

I've heard taking used coffee grounds and putting them in your car for a couple days absorbs smell. It's worth a shot.
