Smog

Has anyone run into issues with a K&N installed and getting a smog? I'm on the fence on re installing my old stock intake but I need new intake boots and all the other emissions hoses $$$$$ which i would just take back off anyway. But on the up side I would have it for every some until the end of my time.:biggrin1:

I don't have a K&N but I do have a Downey intake and pass no problem. I'm in California and I have the sticker from Downey that shows it is legal because the intake does not have the CARB number on the intake.

I had failed smog after getting the 4Runner and having a remanufactured engine installed... I was running out of time with DMV so I smogged knowing it would possibly fail - it did.

But after a tune, a new cat and O2 sensor all was good and have had no issues with smog since then.

thats good to here. I priced the parted needed for the stock a few months back and it's $170 for the three I need. Thats new rear OME coils right there.
