O.K. I just got home after racing one of those big fugly G.M. trucks at an impromptu red light meeting. I have a flowmaster 40 on my 2000 apparently he had 2 flow masters on his. How fast (slow) are those things, and how much more did he pay for that bigger, slower, way uglier heap? Its the newest hummer ive seen here in mobile...way slow. Oh yeah, it was all pimped up with spinners and neon! His G.F./ wife?? really didnt look all to impressed

haha nice, im a very cautious driver, but sometimes when the riced up civic next to me revs it, i just cant resist. I had no idea that 4runner had soo much go. Theres no satisfaction like leaving ricers in the dust. Plus i feel cool when im waiting for the light to change and i hit the ECT button like its nos or something

Speed is relative.

IMO, pretty much all SUV's are slow. Including our beloved 4Runner's.

Then again, the same can be said for almost all production cars too. :

I also have a yamaha fj 1200 that ive owned from new (not slow) i was just amazed at how slow the hummer was. The fj puts about 145 hp to the rear wheel, but it is old and heavy.

1/4 mile pucker factor is about 9.5 as well. If I could get my t4r to smoke the tires in 3rd gear id be ok.

As I said, speed is relative. I had a '93 FJ1200, nice sport-tourer.

Here's a fast bike, which belongs to my buddy, John.

He set a new record for a conventional sit-on motorcycle, at the Bubs international speed trials meet, last month.

On his best run, he averaged 259.393 mph through the timed mile. And reached a peak of 261 mph on GPS, during that run.

His back up run was slower. So his averaged speed for both runs was 252.893 mph. The first person to set a two-run average over 250 mph, on a conventional sit-on motorcycle.
