smoking at start

well my 97 4runner v6 is puffing out some smoke when it starts, (not just the usual puff, when I exit the vehicle :happy bda ) Ok so, it only smokes after its been sitting for a while. The smoke is not really bright white like the burring water look, and not really blue or black like oil? The spark plugs do get "wet" outside the combustion chamber (where the wire boot attaches), but I

Ok well i belive the smoke is oil, because it was about a quart and half low. So it must be the valve seals. My question is...The service guide refers to the seals as the valve oil seals. But it doesnt mention if they can be replaced from above the head (without removing the head)? just pull the cams and lifters and the seal is right there?\
