I just got done plowing my first 10" off the drive's that I do . I'll be going out for second round , maybe a third. I have 2 tractors that are JD utility tractors , I plow with 1 my friend uses the other. We have about 12 of them to plow in the subdivision.

Anyway 3 plow vehicles came in trying to get driveway work. 1 newer Tacoma OR package, 1 really sweet blacked out 3rd gen.(my personal favorite 4R why he was plowing with such a sweet looking truck is beyond me) and get this a Jeep liberty couple years old with a plow and hitch salter on the back . They did pretty well , we watched them do a few drives. Naturally the Toyotas did better because of size and weight. The also had hitch salters on them.

I cant wait to put my 9' Boss V plow on my 4R

Why are you only plowing the "first 10" of the drive's"? Don't they want to pay to get the whole drive done?

Nice way to wreck some trucks. Keep using the tractors or an old beater pickup or a truck that is actually designed for it and can take the loads (GAWR, tranny, brakes, suspension, etc...)

It was a typo. first 10" off the the drives ....lol. Oh they will pay . There are a lot of different plow trucks around here. Not uncommon to see Jeeps , Taco's , Rangers. These trucks work awesome for doing drives and small lots. My buddy has an F350 and a Ford Ranger with plows , kind of a waste because he only has 1 huge lot to do with the f350 , and honestly he goes home and switches to the Ranger . Tells me it's time to make money. Commercial plowing is so very , very cut throat around here he can hardly break even if not lose money when gas prices are high , but drives are pretty good money makers , especially when you get multiple in a subdivision , and just bang them out at $40-50 a pop.

Some of these guy's here that run 1/2 , 3/4 & 1 ton's have some really sweet set ups , beautiful trick trucks , state of the art light bars , new plows every couple years . Just the way it is here.

I saw last week something I could not believe though. Seriously it was a GMC Envoy with a plow . I had to take a double take on that one . No you talk about something that should not have a plow ....jeez .

Just having fun at your typo expense.

We have the same thing here. Everything from beaters to pro setups. They all make or break it depending on fuel and how much snow falls in the season. Usually working through the night (and day) on a fixed contract price is a tough way to make a buck.

I saw 2 pretty cool setups today.

1. A brand new Tahoe
2. Dodge Ram lifted at least 6 inches with at least 37s. I saw it parked behind a car and I could see the hood of the ram over the car....

Yes , it's a tough to make a buck . You have to have the right situation. My cuz has a stock Ram and all he does is driveways in a very very exclusive wealthy community . He paid for his truck & plow in 2 years. Alot of people go south for winter there and the driveway are up to a half mile long. He a a cop there so they all trust him and most of the invoices he sends out are to area's like AZ , FL , CAL , ect..... only about 10 people actually live year around in the houses he plows for the rest are all gone. He charges huge money and they all know him , trust him so it's not even an issue.


It's like they all have Thai's checkbook they are so rich

Yes all in great detail , even a video when the front end crushes down to the ground.

I picked up about 500lbs of rock salt yesterday , and when I through the bags in the back of the 4R one of them broke open ............ needless to say it's fricken everywhere . Although it was pretty deep snow cover roads , I had pretty good traction.

I just saw a new Dodge Durango with a nice Western plow on the front , That kind of surprised me >>>>>>>> well I guess not , since I see everything around here with a plow.
