Well as some of you Northerners may know we got snow today! Yay! lol. I didn't quite expect 2" of snow today, i was thinking more like flurries. BTW I live in northern Illinios) Anybody else get any snow?

lake tahoe got an ass load a couple days ago...but of course it was all sierra cement...i think it was a couple feet...

We got close to two feet of snow last night (with thunder and lighting) and it is causing some serious problems around here. Becasue the snow was very heavy and all the trees still had most of thier leaves, tons of powerlines are down and huge fallen limbs are blocking a lot of roads. Estimates are that about a quarter of a million people are without power (not me of course) and some won't get it back until Monday.
Here's the good news, I finally got to try the 4Runner out in the snow. OMG!!! Now I really appreciate what this truck is all about. I had absolutely no problem driving through about 18" of snow and busting through a three foot snowbank left by a plow at the end of my street. I never thought I would say this, but I can't wait for more snow so I can really test the limits of the Runner.

My truck does have the Dunlops. I was a little afraid from what I had read on this forum but they performed fine as far as I could tell. The snow this morning was heavy, wet and deep. From my experience, that isn't the hardest snow to drive through. I'll really see how these tires perform when we get some of the fluffy stuff that gets compacted on the road. In my opinion, that is the slickest.
I did have some fun this morning but unfortunately, snow removal in this area is very good and most of the streets were cleared by 9 a.m. so I didn't have that much time to play.

Hi! My husband and I live in Seven Sisters Falls, Manitoba, which is about an hour East and slightly North of Winnipeg. Over the past couple of days we received about a foot of snow-- part of the lake effect snowstorm that hit Buffalo. We have an '05 4Runner SE (with stock tires) and it is just great in the snow! I had to pick my husband up from the hospital yesterday and drove it through the snowstorm by myself with no problems at all. It drives easily down unplowed roads where other vehicles and their drivers fear to tread-- we both just love our 4Runner!!
