YIPPEEEEEEEE !!!!!

You know what that means ......... 4 wheeling !!!!!

We are expected to get 6-10" between 3am friday and 3 pm friday.

I love going off road in snow storms , just one of my things I guess. The on road play is fun too , but need to lock the center diff. to get really wild and not have any of the eletronic stuff kicking on , otherwise the 4R handles a little to flawless to have any fun.

I am excited too!!! this is gonna be my first snow storm w/ my 4X4
i think were gonna have 3-13" but im praying for more! ;)

We were supposed to get 6-8" of snow then they reduced it to 2". Now it's an Ice Storm warning. We've already gotten about 1/2" of ice and the powers been off about 10 times.

I love having my battery backup powering my wireless router so I can stay on line!

iRcadikz, You'll have a blast w/the 4R , they handle better than any vehicle I've driven in the snow. Have fun , be careful with the baby though.

BC4R, no ice here atleast. I love snow driving , but if there is an ice storm I stay put. That ice stuff is baaaaaaaaad !!

We are getting hit pretty good , blizzard warning here , but personally I think thats a little overkill of call IMO.

Heres a pic or two.

Out looking for pic opportunities, not just of the Runner.

I usually get excited about snow, but this year is a different story. The 04 4Runner SE that I used to own was smashed inside my parents garage (they bought it from me last year). Haven't seen the damage yet, but a tree about 4 foot in diameter completely leveled the garage with the cars inside (their other car is an 03 Camry SE V6). So, can't say for sure, but the ol' 4Runner might have finally mets its end.

We've had about 1 1/2 inches of ice and the whole city looks like a tornado went through. I've been told it'll be Sunday or Monday before my powers restored (I'm typing this at work)

Anyway, have fun in the snow for me. Blow through some drifts for me in honor of the crushed 4Runner!

Nice shots Catman , like the tug boat in the fog... cool !

What shore of lake Michigan are you on ?

OK so we got about a foot of snow. The bad thing is it was blizzard conditions ( in a bad way ) I was out for a while and man the visibility was sooooo bad , never driven in snow that bad. It actually made me a little nervous ( which NEVER happens in snow storms ) . I was 1/4 mile from home , had headlights on and fogs just for visibility and here come a car out of no where tword me and I did'nt even see him until he was right up on me and was way across the center line and 3/4 of his car was in my lane. it was just a county 2 lane road , so that started the old heart pounding.... lol

I'm going out tonite to find some trouble to get into though with the 4R. Drift busting !!!

We got 10 inches of snow on top of a layer of sleet. Lot of cars having trouble here. Our city doesn't have a big fleet of plows/salt spreaders, since this happens relatively infrequently. That means I've had plenty of challenges for the 4Runner, and it has been absolutely amazing. Not just the 4WD, but the VSC keeps it running straight with little effort. It is much better than my old Isuzu Trooper, which wasn't too shabby in its time. It is possible to get the rear end to step out, but you have to make an effort to do so.

Already I've pulled a friend's Jag out twice, so he really owes me!

Glad you liked the pics. The tug was sitting in blowing snow not fog. Yeah visibility was pretty lousy at times, but I just have to keep my wits about me when I'm out doing stupid sh*t like this. I love going out in snow storms with the camera, makes for some interesting shots. I'm trapped in the southeast corner of the lake for the next few years till I finish school, then back out to the mountains. Oh yeah, Hi-vel jr they are Cooper STT's and no lift at this time, gotta save up for the lift, the tires are 265/70's so I don't need the lift till I go bigger.

Falls, I hope you are having fun, I love driving in the snow and so does everybody else, had a BMW 525 ix (4wheeldrive)in Germany and everytime it snowed I would go out and do donuts behind grocery markets till I got dizzy...
Catman. I like the way those tires look, very aggressive and mean looking... thanks for the info...

Yep Miltown it is. Tires are quite aggro, I lost a MPG or so but so far the other attributes have made up for the slight increase in rolling resistence. We'll see how many miles I get out of them, if I get 30K I think I'd be happy then I'll lift and go to 33's.

Im just west of Mil. in Menomonee falls.

Next Storm we'll have to go out wheeling around. I know of a place or 2 , but nothing overly tricky but it would be fun to go out and play with another 4R in the snow.

I usually go places your not supposed to be ...lol

Ouch!! Keep us posted. Hope your parents are OK, though. You can always replace the Camry and 4Runner.

Sorry to hear about that. Most importantly, I hope your parents are alright. All of the material things can be replaced.
