Snow storm coming .....

not a huge one but fun to play in. Hopefully my meeting will be cancelled tomorrow. I have 3 of them and would rather play

As much fun as I have in the snow, I think I'm ready for summer. The taste of warm weather we got 2 weeks ago has me ready to go out and spend the day detailing the 4Runner inside and out. If you do get hit though have fun!

They're calling for 1-3 inches in the Chicago 'burbs.
I've had enough of winter, too! We've been back in the 30's and 40's for over a week. Very depressing. It doesn't have to be hot yet, but at least far enough above freezing to clean things and get the yard straightened up.

They say we may get 8" here in western MA....... Thats just great I just put back on my half warn Dunflops for the summer :bash:

If I did not switch the tires yet it would be 85 out and beautiful

No snow here, but we had two hard freezes last weekend after 2 weeks of very warm weather. All of the leaves on most trees and all fruit tree blossoms were frozen. It almost looks like fall again with all of the dead leaves on the trees.

We got about 4-6 yesterday in Brookings, still coming down lightly. People were in the ditch. I almost was, too when a big truck wasn't going to slow down and get out of the way. I attempted to do both and lost it for a second... then the annoying VSC system started beeping and it kept me on the road. Not going to talk $hit about the VSC again.

Depending on where the Low front sets in we could see the weather people are predicting 6-12" in the Denver metro area and the foothills will see up to 16". Just last week we were basking in very springlike mid 70s.

Well it I got to play a little . The visibility was just fricken horrible , I mean scary horrible !!!

The snow was heavy wet wet stuff , had some fun , the Revos sucked in it so I had to be careful. very slippery.

Again, I cannot understand the attraction to these tires. Ride is beautiful , smooth , wet / rain , work great , handle nice dry/wet. All other terrain I think they suck , snow ( unless its powder ) , off road , mud ect.... Not a horrible tire , just dont see the attraction.

The snow was a dud in most of the Chicago area. Northern suburbs got enough to cause problems on Wednesday morning and require a little plowing, but the rest of the area got more rain than snow. The grass turned white, but really nothing on the roads.

Up here in western MA. we had some slick roads and a few inches in some spots. I did see quite a few cars off the road this afternoon and I had a big scare passing a truck at about 45 to 50 mph I felt my half warn "D-flops" that I put on to wear out this summer sliding around from under me. It sort of felt like someone pushing me hard from side to side when I got on the gas. It was not something I would like to do again "18 wheeler on one side and a gardrail on the other and the road going to one lane in about 300 ft. with my 4runner swaying from side to side".

There is nothing like real good tires for winter driving this is why I never let mine get to warn out before I change them.

Falls ......... You may want to check out the Kumho LT-A/T-78 (or I think that is they are called) My brother in law put them on his truck and so far they seem quite good.

We ended up getting about 6" of wet, heavy snow around the Ill/Wisc. border. It was enough to break the tree in my yard which then proceeded to fall on my roof and against the side the house. So I got home from work and saw what happpened, grabbed the chainsaw and remembered last time I used it I threw the chain and needed a new one. Off to Menards for a new chain(oh yeah I pick up the kids on Wed. so I had the little ones with me) and traffic signals were out all around the place.

This tree has been around for a while and already had leaves on it, which obviously collected the snow and got too heavy. It was going on all around here, power outages and downed trees. Nice thing is I had no damage from the tree and an excuse to fire up the saw.

Overall it was a very mild storm, just too late in the year for that much wet snow.
