Snow tire size question??

I have an 06 sport with 265/65/17 tires and I was wondering if I put on 265/70/17 snows will this cause an issue if I get a flat tire and limp home with a spare tire that is the stock size of 265/65/17??

You can search for some previous posts on this subject. Keep in mind you will change an otherwise accurate speedometer and, others can correct me, but when you begin to increase tire size I believe you will also lose some acceleration. It would be interesting to see if anyone has 1/4 mi. times with only tire sizes as the variable.

I'm not getting the idea you're worried about acceleration.

I think Casper wrote a thread somewhere about having to limp home with a smaller diameter tire, and reported no issues with the VSC systems. It looks like the system was calibrated to deal with tires size discrepancies of at least one inch which is the difference between the 65 and 70 series tires.
