Hi,
I am sure this has been done before but I want to start fresh for 2011. I am new to toyota-4Runner.org; I have been posting since I found this site a few weeks ago and wanted to say hi. I'd like to know who else is in SO-CAL, I don't know anyone else with a 4Runner.
I am currently located in San Diego and wondering how many other SO-CAL members are active on this site. I have lived all over San Diego from 2000-2008 and now I live in Encinitas.
I have had my 4Runner since Spring 2003 and been slowly modding it ever since. Some of the mods I did myself, some I did with friends and some I had to resort to old fashioned $ installations such as my ARB & exhaust.
I have done some light 4x4'n Borego, Yuma, and Joshua Tree. I would love to go out on a trip sometime in 2011.
My ride:
97 Limited w/ 196,000
Original engine, original tranny
4x4, Locker
SS 1.2 Lift
Sliders
K&N, Flowmaster
Wheels
Full Tint
Complete audio build: Alpine V-12, Infinity Kappas, MTX 12"s, all new speaker wire.
Poor mans dynomat mod(roofing material) - entire interior
... many more ...
Here is a pic of my rig. It is a few weeks old, I have a new grill and lights + tomorrow I get my ARB, plus new fenders not pictured. But I don't feel like waiting to start this thread so I'll post an updated pic tomorrow

This picture should put the video below in proper context. Taken at Holister Hills, CA
*I'm not in the pic*

NOW ITS TIME TO GO UP THE HILL! Short clip but lot of fun to drive.

Same hill but this time a stock Wrangler. This video I took of a friend of friend who was wheeling with us. He said he "does this stuff all the time" I think his Jeep was still cherry since he didn't know what he was doing + his stock Jeep was barely trail ready.

Hope to hear from my neighbors and thanks for the help!
