Exactly; for $1600 you could buy your own welder, power tools, teach yourself how to weld on scrap, and go to town welding a roof rack. And a front bumper.

They're good tools to have.. I just don't *honestly* know how much I'd use them to justify their purchase BUT it makes sense to do so. A swing out, bumper, rack, various armor projects could justify this.

I inherited my welder, chop saw and other chingasos. I would totally recommend slowly putting together a little set up! I've used it on two big projects on the truck and also building two entry gates and other random stuff. It's just nice to have in the arsenal!

It depends on what/how you want the rack made. DM him on IG. Turnaround time for me was about close to 3 weeks. But he may be getting busy now. What I love about him and his customer service is that he sends you updates with pics on the rack. Hit him up guys.

Just be careful, if you build a rack that.... looks like a rack, it'll look like theirs. Then they will sue you for patent infringement. Patent trolling is a key business strategy for them.

The trick is not to sell them, only build one for yourself. Or make a couple a year for your buddies so it flies well below their radar.
