So, I bent the dynamic balancer

I went on this run this weekend and was going over the carnage today. I bent my midpipe, so I know I need to take care of that. I also bent my harmonic balancer. It looks to be a big hunk of metal and plastic that mounts to the transfer case. It's a $300 part, so I'm not going that route, but I can probably find one at a pick and pull. Any idea how necessary it is? Also, because TTIWWOP:

I think it's necessary for you to get more ground clearance! Fix that sh!t and get a lift and bigger tires. Sounds like a fun trail run though!

It was an awesome run. The problem is that it was advertised as a beginner/stock friendly run. It was most definitely not. Some lifted SWB Tacos were having difficulty. I only got through with some very creative spotting. The best part was my fiancee, who never understood the reason for a lift. "If we do this again, you NEED to get a lift"

My 03 V8 did not come from the factory with one of those balancers. It must be a v6 part. Take if off and see if you notice any difference. You can probably just straighten it out. I had a 5.0 Mustang at one time and it had something like that on the rear dif. I took it off and never noticed a diference.

I need to hit a pick and pull for a few more things I screwed up on this run :violin:, so I doubt this will be much more.

I wouldn't replace it just weld or bolt on approx weight to it that got sheered off.
