So I was driving on the freeway...

on my way home from Santa Monica this morning when all at once there was a loud snap from my drivers window which was all the way up. Wondering what could have made the noise I decided to cycle the window. It went about half way down and stopped so I tried to roll it up... no dice it wouldn't even move. I was getting into some thick traffic so forgot about it for a moment until I heard a slight sound of movement. I turned to look at it and was just in time to see the front of the window sink into the door followed by the rest of the window until there was no window glass at all visible! Again I tried the button and I can hear the motor going up and down but no window glass movement. I have an appointment with my mechanic who muttered "damn plastic regulators" on the phone. So wish me luck tomorrow as I must have the truck by early afternoon to complete some other business.:shrug:

Cable in the regulator broke,you will need a window regulator about $300 parts and labor for a Honda vehicle.Its common in all cars with power windows as they get older.

On a '02 Oddyssey, it's the cable end of the window regulator (looks like the end of bicycle brake cable on the level side) pulling out of a plastic guide piece where the two ends of the cable meet and the bottom of the window glass attaches to. The window will fall inside the door completely. The window regulator was about $55.

I was able to slide the window back up and tie the cable in place to keep the window up and closed until I got a replacement regulator.
