came back with a 2003 4runner...

Never owned a vehicle this big before.

biggest thing i miss is having HID and projectors... noticed that 07s have projectors, and i'm willing to bet there is either a retro fit or a face lift that can be performed pretty easily. can someone point me in that direction?

oh and so far mod wise, its getting 15% all around friday morning, and just got some floor mats and my ipod in... looking to get a navigation unit by the end of the month though.

Nice 4Runner! the 06-08 Projector headlights will fit on the 03-05 4Runner's, all you need to make them fit is the piece under the headlight.

what about the corner of the light where the grill is different?

I believe the only modification that is required is for the piece below the headlight, but I may be wrong, here's a shot of an 05 4Runner

The grille does not appear to be upgraded.
 
That is a great looking truck! Talk about making a routine trip very interesting. Is that X5 yours too?

nice choice. the x5 especially with that breathless 3.0 engine which i see you have really stinks. my dad had one and hated every minute in the drivers seat.

you will like the 4r more in every way!

nah, the x5 is my mom's. sold my other car to my dad :( . but he agreed to sell it back to me in a couple of years when i get through with college. which is good because i JUST (as in two months ago) put a uuc 8.5 flywheel, ZF 5 speed swap, m5 clutch short shifter, m50 manifold, etc etc and then decided i needed something a little newer and more reliable to move off 4 hours away from home in. :bash:

wish i would have had that thought sooner. :(

check the corner of the headlight. it seems to be cut off looking on the newer style headlight whereas my headlight is comes to a point. in the bottom corner next to the grill.

the little black car beside the x5 had breath enough for the both of them ;):
 
Don't worry about the grille. The 2006+ headlight will fit a 2003-05 with the bezel under each headlight. You will also need a part of the wiring harness as the 2006+ lowbeams uses H11 bulbs.

Awesome post! .

im thinking of getting an extra set and doing retrofit though. I think that would be the way to get the best look. maybe not though.... i donno.

i don't like the gap that the one guy paid a lot of money for. it doesn't look too clean.

well..... its both actually. thats the garage thats connected to the house. i just didn't take a picture of the rest of the house. :p
