I don't care. I just ordered a Shocker 228vx train horn kit from hornblasters.com and I was wondering if anyone on here had them on their 4runner. I was thinking to mount them on the frame rails on both sides. I also would like to fit the tank in the right, rear, cargo compartment in the back but I'm thinking it'll be to small of an area. I just don't know where the best place to put them would be. Any ideas?

I kinda wanted one awhile back but livin in a small town it wouldn't take people long to realize that I was the SOB who made them shit theirselves.

Funny as hell to watch videos of people getting "blasted"!

that's a good way of giving un-attentive drivers a wake-up call..Oh I would love to see their faces when they react to the sudden sound of a train honking their way.

Yea, I don't think I would take it that far. If anything it will be going up.

I live about 15 minutes from Atlanta so I can find some people to scare. I've just had a desire to get one. I'll get some pictures up when I get them mounted. I think they should be in by Wednesday. They're going to be completely hidden. I'm going to try to not use it a lot around where I live. There's not many white 4runners with fox stickers that people can get confused with.

Dude that's hilarious...I live east of Atlanta and I would love to blast some cell phone chatting beamer snob...hit me up I have seen a white 4runner with a big ol FOX sticker running around. There is a ride at river rock in milledgeville coming up in sep-oct time-frame if your interested.
 
For those of you looking for a lower key train horn, I have one made by Alpex USA. It was only $75 and is louder than a son of a b*tch. mounted it directly next to the cold air intake. My 22 month old is convinced that cars go "choo choo" as opposed to "beep beep." My younger brother has the same horn on his '09 taco

I will have get a lot of pictures of how I did it. I will get some batteries for my camera on the way home since its going to be delivered tomorrow. My horns are going to be mounted in the area between the step rails and the frame rails where they cannot be seen.

I live in west of Atlanta. My fox stickers are actually really small and they're on my side windows. I'm trying to find the right sticker for my rear window. I am gonna have fun with these. I'm gonna get my friends first. I can't wait till tomorrow afternoon.

I'm curious on those horns can you just barely engage them? Meaning just a slight horn sound as opposed to full on blast?

I second the cell phone comment-some lady the other day was beeping her little Corolla horn at me the other day 'cause I was coasting up to a red light. I cleared the turn lane just enough so she could slam on her brakes to sit even longer waiting to turn left. All the while playing chatty Cathy on her Blackberry Droid whatever the heck it was big as her head... Then she flips me off!

I would have loved to just blast a Union Pacific right down her passenger window...
 
CogaPA

I installed a PA solution into my 98' LTD. The device is called a CogaPA. It plays a whole slew of preset songs and sounds, and even allows you to record your own. In addition, it works as a PA system.

I went with the upgraded package (COGAmax power package) with an additional amp and 2 50W speakers that were mounted just under the bumper. Even going down the road at 75MPH, you can still clearly hear the PA. Pure awesomeness!
