Damn........... put on a new rad cap from Napa today which is working 100% but the pressure has blown out coolant from somewhere all over the front of the motor, it's all in the black fan shroud too, did the radiator take a dump ?
It's the same pressure rated cap as the one that it's replaced, just a working one.
Can't do anything on it right now, there's a blizzard raging outside I don't have a garage and I don't fancy stripping stuff down when it's -10c or below. Might just park her up for a while till the weather improves.
Sigh...
HOLY HELL...stand by brother you are going to get tore up by the OEM crowd...LOL. NAPA...meh whats wrong with you? hahahaha
How do you know you old one was not working? Radiator cap is a radiator cap if rated the same. Coolant could be coming from a multitude of places. All it has to do is be close to the fan and it will be pulled all over the front of the motor and fan shroud. Heck no I would not be working on it that cold unless I had to.
You should be able to tell where the coolant is coming from just by running it and watching. Block the radiator off (plastic bag works awesome) to increase the engine/fluid temp to keep the thermostat open and water flowing.
