So yesterday just like about everyday, I loaded up my 7 month old Swiss Mountain Dog in the cargo area for a trip around town. She has been the best dog I could ask for until yesterday when she decided to chew up the roll-out cargo cover while I was at Borders for about 10 min! Man I was pissed! Glad I bought a pet gate so she can't chew the seats! :rant::happens::redbrick:

I hear ya man. I have a 7 month old bull terrier and i've left her alone in my apartment quite a few times and she has been good. I leave for 30 mins and a couple of cushions were torn up the other day, ughh.

Did you have any toys in the back for her?
 
Damn man sorry to hear that, well at least it's replaceable and she didn't hope into the main cabin and go after anything else!
 
yes she has a few toys in the back... thats the only thing she has chewed up so I guess I'm lucky it wasn't the seats or my sofas! lol I'm not gonna buy another for awhile id rather put that money into wheel spacers and a flowmaster super 40...

lol haha no my hand is fine but her little butt got a slap... right when I opened the tailgate she cowered down knowing I was gonna be PISSED! its too bad the part you pull and hook to the door area is just cardboard or it may have survived a little better!

I cant decide what is worse...the chewed up cargo cover or you using and typing the word "like" in your first sentence in a "valley-girl" manner. (sorry, im a teacher and i SCREAM at..like..when like my like students like overuse that word like. ARRG!)

Well at least she didn't urinate in the cargo area! try to look at the positive side.
 
I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but 'like' wasn't used in a valley girl way in that sentence...the just and the like were just switched around. But no matter.

Too bad about the cargo cover - people seem to sell them pretty cheaply in the classified ads on this board so I hope you get lucky and find a replacement for not too many $$s

She's the cutest puppy I've seen in a while though - wow! Is she old enough for the peanut butter kong things yet? that might be a way to keep her occupied next time you have to leave her in the truck for a little bit by herself.

true but she did get sick and crap back there while I was driving!! I had to pull over and it wasn't cleanable without carpet cleaner!! LOL at least she hasn't done that in the house... yet
 
Wow!! I was just kiddin, like oh meh gaaaawd! :-D guess sarcasin and/or kidding around is tough to detect on a board. Anyways, i never have my cargo cover in. If i have the windows open, the wind makes the plastic hooks on the end SMACK! against something and scares the hell outtah me. Mines sitting in storage.
 
Hmm....this might be yet ANOTHER quality of mt 4runner that I never knew about. Im still trying to figure out what the rear-part of the center console is for (its technically in the back seat area, but the think opens up for some unknown-to-me reason).
 
Dealers will rake u over the coals for that part im sure. I got that chrome toyota symbol on the grill when mine vanished one day...$20 for that thing!! Really?!?!? 20 friggin bucks?!!?
 
I think somebody said that thing can cost upwards of 500 bucks at the dealerships. Absurd. Is this friggin cardboard inside of it? People sell those around here all the time, do a search in the classifieds.


And what a monster!!! :p Very cute dog
