So Scion headunits fit, but how do they sound?

Ok Im new to 4runners and I now find out that Scion radios fit great and seems like a great way to get an ipod hook up, which is great because I currently own a 2010 xb and I traded in a 09 xd for the 4runner.

Well how do the Scion head units actually sound in 4runners? Ive got an 05 sport and I think the sound is great and much better then a Scion with a base radio. SO whats it sound like with the Scion headunit? Id really like the ipod hook up in there by going this route since I have 2 spare scion HUs but will I lose sound quality?

Sound quality is much better with the Scion head unit over the stock 4Runner HU,unless you have a JBL system.I like the JBL better than the Scion units.

installed in a 00' limited. It sounds great compared to the OE HU AD6803 using a ipod adapter that utilizes the AUX function. Ive found Bass = 0, Treble = 3+, SSP vehicle type
= xB and toggling between the "Hear" and "Feel" levels depending on what your listening to. The radio and CD sound quality are very good. Using a SS12235 Ipod cable the treble gets a bit overcome by the "Hear" and "Feel" mid and bass levels though. What ive done to counter this is set the EQ on my ipod to "treble booster" and turn off "sound check".
