Used T4R prices are hold their value incredibly well, we all know that, but after searching for quite some time, being patient has its rewards.

Picked up a 2012 Sr5 premium last night with 88k on the clock. Leather, Navi, backup camera/sensors, the whole nine yards.

Big thanks to this forum for being insightful and humble throughout my journey so far. Sad to see my 3rd gen go, but I'm looking forward to modding my new runner!

Same here,, hard to give up the 4th gen. But the wife stepped up and said she wanted to sell the Highlander instead and keep the 4th gen. Said she felt safer in it and liked being higher off the ground. So now we are a 2 4runner family. :D

.

I sold my 3rd gen to my dad for my younger brothers to use so I still get to see it on occasion. I like pretty much everything about my 5th gen more but I still will see my 3rd gen and think dang that's a nice truck.

Congrats!

Thanks everyone! I'm 6'2", but that only means the truck needs to be higher lol. My first purchase will most likely be the daystar 2.5/1.5 lift. I would like to truck to ride like "stock", and from what I've read, it sounds like it does a solid job in doing so.
I'm very happy with the cooper discoverers on my 3rd gen, so when the time for wheels and tires comes, those with the trd wheels are probably my go to.

On a side note, has anyone experienced a "whine" from the engine when under a load?
I've read a few threads that say it's normal.

Yeah,I always hear it lol. Toyota foreman told me it is normal himself... but couldn't tell me what is making the noise. It SOUNDS like its coming from the front pump/bottom rear of engine area while laying under it while its running. I'm just curious, as my 1GR Tacoma didn't make the sound and the several 5th gens I've driven have. Any one have a clue?

Congrats on the rig OP! Went from a 2WD Taco to my 2010 SR5, great decision! You'll enjoy it

It's coming from the power steering pump. Two Toyota techs looked at it and both said it was normal. I still think its an odd noise to be normal lol.

Is it all stock under the hood? TRD CAI? Did you verify the sound or did the Tech say it was the pump?

All stock under the hood. Initially, a buddy(Acura tech) and I performed he long screwdriver test. Granted everything is on the same belt, there was more noise and vibration was coming from the power steering pump.

After we did that, I took it to two Toyota dealerships. They both said it was normal. I have a friend with a 11 limited, and his makes the same noise.
