So what do you use (Oil)

Any discussion of oil without also specifying filter and change interval for both is meaningless. Mobil1 at 12,000 OCI (as some have said they do) will kill an engine faster than any cheapo dyno at 3,000 OCI.

I run Castrol Full Syn 5W-30 and Taurus-size NAPA Platinum 41516 filters at a 6500 mile OCI. Blackstone Labs UOA says I can go longer but I won't.

Just visited Costo where they had Mobil1 5w30 6-pack for only $26. I plan to go back tomorrow to buy it.

I used to run RP, until some research I did showed that the viscosity of RP may or may not (the research wasn't conclusive) drop quickly after a few thousand miles...

I've recently changed to Mobil Super HM 10w30 using a Bosch filter. How long can i go with the synthetic blend? I usually use Pennzoil HM and change it every 3k or 3 months.

On the Mobil Super, I'd do 6000 miles or 6 months, whichever comes first. Nice oil for a cheap price.

AMSOIL every 7000-8000 miles. Used RP and mobile in the past. AMSOIL is the best! Filters are Mobile or K&N.

Mobil 1 5w30.. Mobil 1 75w90 in diff, x-case and transmission..

the Mercedes, Lexus and my rig is running all Mobil 1..

can't beat the Costco's price on it.. $26 dollars for the whole case...

I run Napa Synthetic. I get a pretty good shop price for the stuff and I run a short OCI (<3k or so). My last Blackstone report with this oil came back well, with plenty of life left in the oil, so I'm pretty content.
