I hope you like the pictures, I've been a member since October 2010. This truck was purchased on the 18th of October 2010. I've done a few mods since then but haven't had time to post the pictures. As you can see from above the picture quality varies from iphone pics to super high resolution. This is my first post and I'm still figuring things out so sorry if it's crappy.

Uh...thanks. I built my vehicle for me, mainly to impress myself. I don't see this as a competition, but hope my setup has inspired some mods here and there in other builds.
I am really eager to get to show you guys the episode of Trail of Missions, we did really run the snot out of the truck in Baja. It was never a mallcrawler before, but it can't be accused of being after that trip.
There's a lot of rigs I really like on this forum as well. I know [MENTION=76550]cbielat[/MENTION] 's rig is a huge favorite of mine.

@Lawdart would be in the running for the most extreme/costly
Personally I like the threads/builds/posts where people are just having fun with it, if thats fishing at the end of a forest service road AWESOME, if thats running Baja AWESOME.
I also really like the folks who are big DIY or pave the way for unknown mods and then share the learnings cough [MENTION=65614]Antman[/MENTION] cough. Even though most of my "mods" are bolt on having done all the install myself/with the pops it makes it that much more enjoyable when out using it.
My favorite is mine, there is a laundry list things I want and its far from the "basest" but its done up in my style. Thats the cool thing about the forums, get ideas from others and combine them to what you want/need.

My old school friends [MENTION=65614]Antman[/MENTION] and [MENTION=47340]Titanpat57[/MENTION] also have a special place in my favorites. They have put some great ideas to use within their trucks.
My favorites are the vehicles that actually get used. Just because you can bolt a lot of things on it doesn't make it impressive to me. I see way too much of that.

Finally a place to say thank you for, and especially TO, all of the inspirational build and mod people who are active on this site. ( [MENTION=103267]Saker[/MENTION] [MENTION=124732]LawnDart[/MENTION] [MENTION=66316]1engineer[/MENTION] [MENTION=65614]Antman[/MENTION] & [MENTION=120701]Cymon[/MENTION] to name a few)
I have been snapping on TONS of miscellaneous good looking stuff, and still have a list to finish out but I think I have something to contribute...finally.
This has been in my brain for a couple of years and with the fine craftsmanship of Joe in SoCal (Outgear Solutions on IG) who fabbed my rack and sent it to me w/o powder coating, then the motivation and close inspection from a retired welder across the way to dust off my inherited MIG welder, and the weld shops who sold me new wire and gas I was able to put Fire Department light brackets all around the rack and most importantly, 4 slots on all 4 corners for removable hammock posts to mount a pair of hammocks for road trip camping.
Multi-Use Thoughts Include (but are not limited to...)
~Hammock Hangers
~Elevated Sun Fly (ARB is in the garage, fabbing brackets this weekend, but this will be for the really high sun!)
~Shower Hanger
~Clothes Line
~Banner Hanger for events
~Privacy Curtain hanger for nude sunbathing...maybe she is into that? I'll have to ask
~Side rails to hold multiple kayaks, or who knows what else in there
~The list goes on...
Since I have only had the rig for a week not many "in use" pictures available but three trips are lined up so when the time comes...
Either way, thank you all for keeping this site alive and well and a comfortable place to share opinions. My rig is a culmination of everyone's work here and I am exceptionally grateful for it.
Though maybe not the most baddest ass overall rig, maybe I can snag a vote or two for "most uniquest badassery mod fab trick thingy"?!
(Yes, I make up my own categories with my kids so I have a chance of winning too ;-) )

There are a lot of great rigs here, some of the pretty darn amazing. If I had to pick one, it would probably be LawnDart's. But really, I enjoy seeing them all, learning about mods, and just seeing people having fun with their 4Runners.

No doubt what my favorite is... for obvious reasons.. nothing else is even in the same league.
Bimrunner is next and is very similar to my own build, but he is one step ahead of me on a few things... but I like how he uses it mostly...
But there are tons of cool ones and we will hopefully see even more extreme rigs soon.
Nothing wrong with a basic truck either.. these just stand out as my goals... sort of phase 1 then phase 2..., then 3.
I like mine also. Should do a build thread at some point.. it has some unique one off things that most people have never seen before. And it works pretty darn well offroad. Even surprises me sometimes.
