SoCal Meet and Greet

From what I've seen, not a lot of folks on here have the time or desire to go wheeling. So if we started doing monthly local meets, we might get a larger turnout. We've got members from San Diego to Ventura, so variety shouldn't be an issue.

For the first meet, how about somewhere central in Orange County? Ideas?

Yeah for sure, other forums I'm on try to have monthly meets and it's a cool way to put faces to names.
That said, what do you guys think about Friday, Feb 8th at the Oggis in Garden Grove?
 
I would put up a couple of options just in case..

So feb 8th would be one and maybe the end of Feb/First weekend of March would be another. Also gives more time for folks to plan.

I like the idea though. This way people get to know each other and chat rather than just say hi for 5 minutes and hit the trail for the rest of the day.
 
In most cases, I would agree. Problem is, runs get canceled around here due mainly to confusion. Once a date is set, we need to stick with it. If no one can go, we plan one later down the line.
 
I'd be interested in a meet up. Ive been hanging out with my moto buddies to much and should meet more runner peeps. As long as my schedule permits, I'm willing to make the drive out.
 
I agree, it's just hard to predict my work schedule. I'd be more than happy to do a meet and greet though.
 
This is a good idea. Here in the south bay area,every first Friday of every month a bunch of cars,truck,motor bikes etc meet up in the home depot parking lot to chat and what nots. I cruised through there one time to check it out. Few guys with pre runners and a few fj's chillin. There are a lot of food places there too. Just an idea of a place maybe similar.
 
There was a meet and greet in Brea when I joind it was cool there was I think 13 runner I met [MENTION=47945]brian2sun[/MENTION] @COB [MENTION=44174]proudrunner[/MENTION] @pure98 and several others there. That was the beggening of some good friend ships.
 
Keep in mind Feb 8th King of the Hammers race day I know there will at least 5 t4r members out there having a BLAST!:beer::drummer: I will be out ther 6th-9th

Like drifter said the 8th of feb is KOH and the 1st weekend of march is TDS.
 
There is also trophy truck Tuesdays in Burbank. A lot of tacoma world and race dezert guys show up.
I believe it's the first Tuesday of every month.

I rarely venture to the inland side of PCH so forgive my ignorance what is Oggis?
 
I would be in for a meet and greet anywhere in San Diego county, or Orange County too probably, as long as it was on a weekend day, or a Friday night if it's in the San Diego area. I won't be able to make the meet if it's on February 8th, but maybe the next one.
