SoCal meet-up 2....dates

Ok, lets keep this thing moving. I am guessing that Sundays are the best for most people, as some people work/play sport Sat..

I've left out the last week in Jan........... because I can't go! (selfish eh!)

Looks like a fire trail might be a first good meetup activity. I too care too much about my Runner to wreck it at this early stage.

Would suggest we meet-up for breakfast/coffee somewhere like a Starbucks before hitting a trail and then convoy to the trail. That way is most likely to ensure everyone gets to the right place.

Can anyone suggest some fire trails we can use? I am new to LA so have no clue in this regard:twak:

the only date that'll work for the time being for me will be the 8th of jan. i'll be in mammoth the following week and after that my truck will be in a major tear down from mid jan to about mar. (pending my work schedule of course)

doh! i know this screws things up but i'll still drop by and just drive my 40

I'd prefer one of the later dates. Or if we wanted to meet up Jan 8th like Goodtimes said, then I would want to do it early morning on the 8th, and not do a trail, just a meet. We can always plan another date. We don't have to do a gigantic one.......although, that would be cool.

it doesn't have to revolve around my schedule btw since i have no problems just showing up any other weekend. i just won't have my 4runner but i'll still have a yota to bring

just to get together and hang would be fine too. good grubbin and chattin up a storm is always great

Ok guys,

I'd like to suggest either Sunday 16th (Martin Luther King Holiday on Monday) or Sunday 23rd.

This weekend (8th & 9th) looks to be a washout according to weather reports and we haven't got many interested yet.

Please let me know your thoughts on these dates and also see the other thread about a route - we need to suggest something soon to generate more interest back at the main (General) forum.

I like the 23rd, far enough away that people can plan, but close enough that people won't forget either. As for a route, I have no clue, this off road trip will be my first.
