SoCal Meet-up?

Nice, let's keep this up, one guy mentioned a June meet up. Temecula area is what I had in mind, but I'm definitely open to suggestions.

Temecula would work and then can hit up somke trails at either Wildomar OHV park near Lake Elsinore, or some trails near San Jacinto portion of the San Berdo Forest.

There are quite a few of us 3rd gens that go out and wheel regularly and have a social group under teh community tab. So Cal 3rd gens. am pretty sure wouldnt mind having some other gens join and meet up.

Update from other thread: Saturday, moderate difficulty trail, San Jacinto. Possibly Wildomar area, depending on replies this coming week. We'll probably meet up for chow then hit the trails, I'm thinking morning time.

Would a stock 4R make it on the trail? I would love to go.

I'm pretty sure you will not have a problem, what do you think Thesentinel/Pikeman? I took my stock limited up 2n17x right after some jeepers told me not to worry since they would give me a little shove when I got stuck, made it through the trail with no issues at all. I dont think the trails we will be doing are going to be that extreme.

The trails we are looking at doing or easy to moderate and suitable for stock vehicle. Ones I mentioned to TheSentinel on the phone yesterday would be Cleghorn or Pilot Rock near Silverwood lake(15fwy and Hwy138).There are two in San Jacinto area Bees Canyon or Thomas Mountain (Hwy 74 about 4 miles East of Mountain Ave/Ramona Expwy) the trails are all part of the San bernardino Nat. Forest Trail system. I can provide copies of the Forest service hand out Motor Vehicle Use Map(MVUM) to those that show up. Depending on how the day goes we can always link a few trails together.

If we do Cleg or Pilot then standard meeting point of McDonalds at 138 and 15. If the San Jacinto area then Corner of Hwy 74 and Mountain/Ramona is a shopping center.

All 4 of the runs have Scenic Lake views. The 2 suggested in San Jacinto have some shade and also water crossings.

Hey Pikeman does Jimmy from OL know about the run?

DLAK- was planning on letting Jimmy and a few other 3rd gen guys know about it once the trail got decided. I am leaning more towards the runs in San Jacinto area since all I did the first two years was run Cleg/Pilot and that area so kind of burnt out on those but will do them if that is what the group wants.

I was thinking 9am at intersection of Mountain Ave and Florida Ave(Hwy 74) Shopping Center. Looking at my Thomas guide approx. the 43400 or 43500 block of Florida Ave Hemet/ Valle Vista. The shopping center has a Chevron, Taco Bell, Stater Bros and a few other small stores.

The two runs are more of a scenic run and to just get out and enjoy the Forest. Still will need to bring recovery gear, food, water, first aid kit and a good attitude.

9am is fine with me, I've got the pass from the wife. Is that the finalized meet point? Do we have an exact address yet?
