sounds like fun! raincheck for me since I'll be out of town for the next 2 weeks:cry: I'm definitely in when I come back though Jay.... post pics if you can guys!

Im in, just hope it is not too late because it can get quite hot.

Last weekend I left my truck at 7:45am and was back to it about 10:30. It was getting hot by 10:30 but not that bad.

I did 12.6 miles 1:50min. BS'ed up at the water tower about 15min each trip there X4 = 1hr. Now add a group and the BS'ing time might go up along with the regroup time I figure 8am until you are ready to go.

Anyone familiar or not, with the area feel free to throw out your concerns or ideas.

For those that have not been there here is a link with map and photos of what to expect!
http://unitedadobo.com/index.cfm?action=route.map&route_id=68
This map looks like it pretty well covers the three main trails A-side, Rattle Snake, and 7th st.
I have never started from the hacienda side I have only started @ the Fire road off of Beverly PARKING Can get hard to find.

It goes without saying that if riding or parking in residential areas it is a must to be kind curtiuos and respectful of the home owners, we don't want to lose any riding areas do to bad behavior. :)

Damn, I'm not back in town until August 5th, then I'm off again by the 11th. If you guys go out on the 6th or 7th, I might be able to drag myself away from road trip prep long enough to join you.

Ya never know. I try to get in at least one good morning ride every weekend that I can.

Well, put something up here if you're going that weekend - I've been stuck out in PA all summer with no bike and I'm itching to hit a trail or two before I head out to the midwest, where there are no hills worth mentioning.

Ok! I lived out in the mid west for a spell I know what you mean about hills but there are a few hideaways that make for good riding.

Ok so the meeting point will be on Beverly Where it turns into Turnbull canyon rd.

Depending on where you are coming from there are many ways to get there but I think the easiest is to take the 605 to Beverly exit and go east on Beverly.it will end up taking you into a residential area small streets 4way stops and what not. Keep on going untill you are in the canyon there will likely be cars parked every where and bikers, hikers and runners in the street.

There will be another group of my friends there also that we are welcome to ride with or we can stick to our own group. Either way this will be a fun ride with the no one left behind policy.

PM me if you need more specific directions or google Beverly st/ turnbull canyon.

BRING WATER!!!

8AM the longer we dally around at the bottom of the hill the hotter it will be at the top of the hill :)

Will see you there Jay at 8am sharp. I will suggest to stick with our own group and that is because I don't want to be that guy that they are waiting for to make the climb. I was at turnbull canyon yesterday for a pre warm up!

Nice Sounds good to me! Those climbs can be breath taking:wow:
Sometimes all we need is a little motivation!:whipping2:lol:

Sweeet,

Can't wait to ride Turnbull.
Just installed a new bottom bracket for my ride on Tuesday. Cross my fingers there's no more creaking.

See you fellows at 8am with a camel pack full of ice.

Looks Like a great day for a ride!!! I'm ready to head out.

Well I want to thank Jay for the invite and also brad for keeping us company. It was a great day to ride with good people. Only carnage that we had was me, somehow I manage to bent my front rim and fell twice!!! I'm all good just a bit sore. Will post pics of the front wheel; I guess it s equivalent to a busted cv axel!!!!!!
