Hi Everyone,
Names Stephanie and my family has now joined the Toyota family. Picked up a 2015 SR5 Premium 4x4 this past weekend for my mom and she loves it. Before we have been mainly a Ford family (89 GT convertible, 04 F-250, 05 Excursion) but we had bought my mom a used Dodge Magnum which had been good, but her company told her she needed a newer car, within 6 model years, to qualify for her car allowance. We found out about this towards the end of May, so we did all our car research, test driving, and purchasing in month because she needed to show her company all the details by today, 7/1. We of course were looking at the Ford Explore Sport (AWD w/3.5 Ecoboost) but just couldn't find the right 15 with the features we wanted (and right price range). I then started looking at the 4Runner because we have some family/friends who have loved their Toyota's, and the 4Runner would fit my family's adventurous lifestyle cuz we like to go dirt biking and do other activities. Not new to the forum scene just new to the brand so I'd like to learn more about the offroad aspect and following of the 4Runner and what other parts are transferable from the Tacoma's and FJ's, along with those ingenious mods/hacks that people come up with. I've already come across some cools pics through Instagram and the ideas are flowing :thumb:

As a background of myself, I'm a part of some other forums (FTE, TT, RDC) but am just getting back into the swing of things and furthering my knowledge on the vehicles we own. Haha I may start to be on here a little too much for the time being as I'm currently an unemployed new grad (Mechanical Engineering) and am doing the usual online application stuff and seeing what other contacts I can make. Throughout college I was a part of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) organization on campus where I furthered my hands on skills and knowledge with of course traditional hand tools and wrenching, and then mills & lathe's, and even learning a little bit of TIG. I was also Head of the Sponsorship/Fundraising committee where I would contact prospective sponsors (helped facilitate deals with King Shocks, RaceLine Wheels, Hillco Fasteners, and others) and helped with public outreach through FB, Instagram, and on-site venues such as SCCA events, LA Autoshow, and Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach.
