"Soft spot" on dash?

On top of my dashboard, right at the highest point directly over the instrument cluster, there is a small depression. It is soft there too. You can push on that spot and it feels like there is no support under the dashboard. The rest of the dash is solid, no cracks or anything.

Anyone else got this?

Anyone know what a new dashboard runs?

I can't remember the price of the dashboard, but I know it was a lot. There are some hard covers available from ~$130-180. I believe coverlay is the maker.
