For some reason whenever I find a car I like then we have some situation comes up that requires a vehicle sale. Now it is that we are putting an offer on a house and so I need cash and I will have to carpool with my wife to work.
I just bought this thing in March. Had surgery shortly thereafter and it sat in the garage until mid-May undriven because I was bedridden for 2 months. I've put 500-700 miles on it total since purchasing it as I just am not well enough to drive much. It was a Toyota Certified Pre-Owned, so the pics are of what it looked like at the dealer the day I picked it up. Looks the same now. I added weathertech digital floor liners in black and still have original carpet mats as well.
Has V8, Xreas, steering wheel controls, moon roof, power seats, black seats with gray interior, six disc in dash changer, full time 4x4 with low range, looks brand new inside and out. It has about 33,000 miles on it. I'm not sure if the Toyota Certified Pre-owned warranty goes with it or not, but that thing supposedly covers the powertrain to 100,000 miles or something like 6 years from date of purchase. Not sure of the particulars on that. I also have a nice new set of FJ springs that I never put on that will go with it (I can't do the work, so they are just sitting here waiting) and a Daystar 1.5" front spacer and some Daystar rear spacers that are both brand new that will come along with it.
Is somewhere around $25,000 a decent deal for this? I'd be taking a bit of a hit, but what can you do? I know that buying from a dealer always means you'll pay more money than buying from an individual. So be it.
Let me know what you guys think price-wise if I'm in the ballpark. If it's high for this board then I'll maybe try to sell it locally on the popular local classifieds and see if I get any interest. I had it listed once immediately after my surgery and had lots of interest, but then a service light came on. I then found out that it only came on because the dealership forgot to reset it at the 5,000 mile mark when they changed the oil before selling it as they did a complete fluid change at that time and it wasn't at the 5,000 yet. I didn't get why they didn't reset it. I guess because it didn't come on. I freaked out and pulled it off the market and then discussed it with them, reset the light and all is good. I was afraid it meant something was wrong and I wasn't going to sell a vehicle with a service light. I didn't know it was different than a trouble code light! Duh.
