Well after much consideration I decided to trade my Trail in on an 03 Limited 4runner. I decided I didn't need the huge payment to drive 15 miles round trip to and from work

I put 10k down when I bought my Trail so I only financed 30k They gave me 36k on trade the nice part is I am getting a check for $1800 from toyota for my extended warranty that never got used. So I took a pretty big hit on the money loss but didn't go upside down which was nice. And I drove a 4th gen for about 6 year so it familiar to me.

Kudos to you for being fiscally responsible. I've had my Trail for almost a year and it hasn't rolled over 5k miles! Its a big payment for the little it gets used, but I'll have it forever....I hope.

Are you going to mod the 4th Gen?You should have swapped your badash tires and wheels to your new ride at least!
You'll be back......................... in a 4-5 years as there will be plenty of babied TE's out there just waiting to be thrashed...:guitar3:

The thing is my wife has a 2010 Venza that we take everywhere and I also have a 2011 Harley Street Glide and an 82 Yamaha cafe racer style bike so.... WE figured why spend all the money on it when I drive it 15 miles a day. It had 11688 miles on it when I traded. I am sure I will end up with a used 5th Gen in a few years but for now it was the best descion. Oh and the lift and tires are ordered shorty after this post lol.

It sounds like you made the right decision. If something is a financial drain it quickly loses the appeal.
I recently went through the same process when my wife decided she would rather not work after the next school year. I sold my two month old 2012 Nissan GT-R because the market is very strong for that car right now. I also sold my 2008 Jayco 5th wheel because we just were not using it very much. I'll be selling my Ford F250 when my 2011 4Runner gets here since I no longer need a tow rig. Now I'm about $10k from having my wife's car paid for and then we will be debt free save for my very reasonable mortgage. I'm sure I will be back in a sports car down the road, but I hope next time to just pay cash for it.

I would love to ditch the pinstripe but it is hiding a teal and blue painted on and cleared over pinstripe
