Sold the 3rd, got a 4th

The 4th gen is nice, but I think you will miss parts of the 3rd. Still overall, I think you will be happy with the 03.

I just bought the 3rd back in October. I replaced a DC Tundra with it. But it rode so horribly, I just couldn't stand that part of it. I loved everything else. I actually like the 3rd gen body style better, but I couldn't handle that Jeep Wrangler ride, so I sold it and started looking for a 4th gen. It took me about 8 weeks to find it, but I am pleased.

Yes, I actually wanted white, but was having a hard time finding one. And most were high miles, this one only has 58k miles on it. I would have taken any color though, I really like them all. But white is what I wanted and a sport model too. The only thing about this one is it's leather interior and I would have rather had the "sport" interior.

me too. would have kept the 97 (ok it was white too) but daughter wanted the ride. 4th more power stability and comfort. 3rd fun in the sun tweaky power and a true toy.

x2. At times, i miss my 2002 Pearly White (forgot exact name, but it was a Lexus color) 4runner Limited 4wd just because of the color.

Yup, there is no comparison between the 4th and 3rd gen in terms of ride comfort. That was one thing that i did not like about my '02 4runner...the ride was horrible...but then again, Texas highways are not known for its smoothness either.

The color I rarely see is that pearly white but isn't there another white that isn't so pearly? I see a Runner that is an '02 I think and it's all white with no chrome at all.

Awesome dude! I'm in the same boat, sold my 98 in September. I really miss that one, and I really miss my 85 before it, but I sure love my 03
