I've been reading up on how to remove rotors but when I crawled under my 2002 4runner I noticed there is a solid steel line that is connected to the caliper which runs to a bracket/flexible brake line.
On another post, they suggested to remove the bracket and you can then move the caliper/solid line as one (gently) out of the way and hang it with a wire to remove the rotors.
But has anyone done this? The steel line seems very flimsy. All the other how-to videos on other vehicles I've seen have a flexible line going directly to the caliper.
I didn't want to remove the brake line to do this.
Thanks.
