Solution?

I was pulling into a parking spot next to a curb the other day and I accidentally hit the curb on the outer edge of my left wheel, it left a gash about 2 inches along the rim. Has anyone had this happen to them? If so is there a way to sand it down a little bit so it's not so noticeable? I'm planning on powder coating my wheels soon, hopefully that will help a little bit.

Swap in the spare and you'll forget that it ever happened. Of course if you get a flat or when you do the next rotation, then you might smack yourself later

Is the spare an alloy wheel or metal?

Should be matching making the spare a possible permanent replacement. Camrys and Tacomas have steelies for spares regardless.
