Some different striping ideas (with pics) for 4th gens

First of all, here's the subject...2005 Limited V8, Titanium Silver. This is actually NOT my truck, that one is already sold (Moved across the country.....long story ) however, in the meantime, my Mom bought this IDENTICAL one! So at least there's still a 4Runner at the homestead while I'm stuck in Toronto pimping a Matrix

Anyways, they put a few little stripes on it just to be different (friends of theirs bought my 05 haha), I think it looks quite good. The stripes are kind of charcoal on colour, looks much better than black would IMO. They really blend in, and just define some of the truck's curves a bit more. I'll try to make the pics bigger...

Down the sides:

Up both sides of the hood and on both sides of the emblem:

And, just for fun, here's a shot of the 78 Corvette pace car me and my Dad picked up....engine was blown, so we built a ~370hp 350 for it with all sorts of goodies, fun little car now....I'll elaborate if anyone's interested

I can barely see the strip you are talking about? anyway I hate pin strip! If I buy a new car with dealer install pin strip I rip them out ASAP while they're still new cause once they start to fad in its a bit#$ to take them off.:arrow:

It is hard to see those stripes on these pictures... When I looked really closely I finally found them. I bet you can see them much better in person and I can't tell you if I like them or not because I would have to see them in person. However I think that it's a good idea to try it. All little things make difference when you try to look a little different than stock... IMO

BTW.. Your '78 vet looks like brand new.... Good job ! I bet you spent a lot of time to restore it

I generally don't like pinstripes, but yours is done tastefully and it's pretty subtle. Not bad lookin IMO

I agree with everyone in not generally liking stripes......these seem to blend in very nicely, and I actually like that you don't really see them at first glance; even in person probably. I wish I had bigger pics....but stupid photobucket downsized them when I posted them from home.

It's just a little touch, and if someone were looking for something a little different for their silver rig....this is cheap, easy, and non-offensive

The Vette was actually in really nice shape when we got it....just needed the motor work and LOTS of cleaning/detailing

those dont look too bad, but generally pin- striping on a car especially a new one is the equivalant of those people who shaved lines or writing on the backs of their heads!
