Some fluid dripped on my hood in garage..help!

I had my 03 Runner in a parking garage today. Got to it at the end of day and noticed some leaking from pipe above dripping on my hood. Not really sure what it was, but appeared to look like water. Clearly it was not though. As I was driving home, it had a slight brown tint to it. Regardless...I try to wash it as soon as I got home and low and behold, I now have what appears to be a permanant 2 inch stained circle on the hood. It has an "oily" appearance. Can someone please advise me what to do? Much appreciated. Thanks

Its probably rusty water / oil from the pipe. Perhaps a compressor line with some condensation inside. Get some cleaner wax, which is a wax with solvent to remove surface contaminants. If that does not work, have the hood buffed. BTW, check the roof as well.

Start with something mild and work your way up.

1. Clay bar
2. Paint cleaner (similar to Cleaner Wax, minus the wax)

If it doesn't come off with those products, it may take a more abrasive rubbing compound. Just make sure not to go too deep, as you'll wear off the clearcoat. And followup with two coats of wax to protect from future exposure.
