Some Good Shocks?

Does anyone know a good set of shocks that can give our 4runners the most car-like type of ride? I have 166k miles on my truck so I know mine are pretty worn out.

go with rancho rs9000xl they have adjustable stiffness so you can chose from soft ride or race car hard... plus they offer like a 1 inch lift.

According to the Rancho website, theres a shop literally a few blocks from my house that can install these for me. The shocks seem cheap to me but getting them installed is where it will probably cost big bucks.

Rears are a easy swap with some jack stands and floor jack if you have it. Fronts are a little more difficult as you have to swap out the spring. You can rent a tool from Autozone or the like to accomplish the job, but like i said just a little more difficult.

you can do it your self or ask anyone here that lives around your area if they are willing to help or have a meet so they can put your shocks in.. its not really difficult.

I wouldn't even have anywhere to install them since where I live I have only street parking and if you guys knew me you wouldn't even want me to replace your brake light on your truck haha. I rather just have a professional take care of it for me.

I live in South Bay area Redondo Beach/Lawndale to be exact. Its probably not to hard. I had a guy I knew change the brakes on my 01 Tacoma regular cab prerunner years ago and it seemed very easy.

i didnt feel any difference in the ride quality, you still use the same OE coils in front and rear... however i changed my rear for the fjz80 coils. but i have the shocks tune all the way to number 9 till last night when i went wheeling i turned them down to 3 and damn they are awesome i dont think ill change my current setup those ranchos are deff worth the money. cause you can adjust how stiff or soft you want the ride.
