i have an 08 4runner sport....it was bone stock when i bought it back in december and so far i replaced the stock grill with a body match color grill and painted the front and rear toyota emblem black...still in the middle of changing out all my lighting to HID's and LED's....and most recently (4 days ago) i took my 4runner to Gig Harbor Auto Works and they installed a 6" pioneer navi with bluetooth and back-up camera integrated, clifford alarm with remote start, and custom enclosure for a JL 12W7 and JL amp...all done in two days!!!

Looks great...That set up will be very loud. If your just getting started then its hard to stop

so tell me this, how do u change the flat tire u might get if the sub and amp is mounted right at the spare tire tools ? still a good install, could used the cargo box and mod it to fit the big amp.

@ milam....yea, i hear that haha...i have a few things in mind but need the weather to a bit warmer so i can work on it...too cold right now in montana

@ casper421.....i drove to seattle (cuz thats where i live) and my buddy got his sub enclosure and some other stuff done by gig harbor auto works and it sounded soooo good, so i decided to get work done by them. and they did a killer job. its made out of fiberglass and kevlar. he was trying to get me to put a 10" rather than the 12" but since i already bought the jl 12" and amp for it, i told him to try to get it to work. he said he could make the 10" louder than the 12" so if anybody else wants this set up, they should try the 10".

we chose to use the driver side because thats the side that has one seat flip up. this way if i need to, i flip the other side up and i can lay more stuff that way

Great install, but I'm hoping you didn't pay retail price for that amp/sub :x

Funny,.. I was going to say the same thing about the Pioneer Head unit. Especially after the Amazon special a few months back. But if you did pay full price, then ignore the deal I mentioned above. You'd kick yourself if you heard much more about it. :D

FWIW, I purchased the same head unit and installed in my '08 SR5 and I've been pretty happy with it. It's not perfect, but it's an improvement over the stock setup.

Looks good man!

Looks good! I'd suggest getting the Urban Runner's trim piece for the stereo... It's the best looking one out there in my opinion.

nah...i didnt pay full price on it. i got a deal on it from the shop. i never had a navi so i think this is very user friendly and looks good...does it have a mute button?! lol..i havent played around with it much but i know when im talking on the bluetooth, the music automatically turns way down but i can still hear it, but depending on how loud i have the music up to, sometimes i cant hear what the person is saying on the bluetooth

If you don't mind my asking, how much did you pay for the color match grille? And where did you get it? I'm planning to do the same with my Runner. Not much of a chrome fan.
