You can now add me to the FJ wheel crew. Originally I was in the market for tires, but then figured maybe I could score a lightly used wheel and tire combo for the same price. It's funny I got rid of my Audi's because I figured I wouldn't mod a SUV and I would save money. So far it's not too bad, but now I might want/need a lift I'll explain why.
Obviously bigger wheels and tires and at times I get a bit of rubbing. The only time it rubs is when the wheel is turned about 80% and the front suspension compresses(ie. pulling into a driveway fast, as if you were doing donuts). I don't want a lift, but if there was something minimal like an 1" I would be ok with it if it would get rid of the rubbing. I'm thinking about the Sonoran system 3.0 since it's a minimal lift and still retains the stock ride. Since it's kind of pricey I would love to get my hands on 99 tall coils and try that first, but not sure if my shocks are in need of replacing. How much do 99 tall springs cost?
