Some nice B.C. 4x4 photos

I drove some logging roads in Chilliwack last week; amazing, even with basic Goodyear Fortera tires it manages to make it up slippery 45 degree hills. I could tell the ATRAC was working. DAC works very well too, but not quite slow enough for some cross ditches.

Hey I've been in that area . Very scenic ! Nice truck too ! Did you run through any of the decommissioned roads with the huge water ditches cut into them ?

Thanks! I don't think I ran across any of the huge ditches. I'd like to find those though. The ones I tried were mainly off Chilliwack Lake Road, within a few kms of Foley Lake.

It was a while ago but I thought where we went off CHWK Lake Rd was near the hatchery . At that time it was active logging but we were there on Sunday and no trucks around . We drove for hours up that road into some deactivated logging roads . We were REALLY high in altitude too , was kind a cool. I will look on Google Earth and post back tomorrow . You would love it up here with your Runner . Never ending logging roads and cool back country man !

If memory serves me correctly , we left Chwk Lake rd. by Slesse Creek . I placed the m/c icon there in the photo . We just traveled South from there .
You can almost go right to the border . Those ditches in the decommissioned roads I was talking about ? They are so deep that if your well behind the truck in front you can almost lose sight of him when he goes through . They are placed there by forestry to guide the rain and snow melt off instead of it ruining the road . If you have Google Earth you can see more just follow the coordinates at the bottom of my jpeg here.

excellent area, ive explored harrison east with my suburban, and the roads are somewhat the same with more jagged rocks poking out.. great scenery and sense of outdoors.
